The Start of the Bug
It's our day off and right now Genie, Vincent, Jen1, OJ, and myself are sick. It's just the beginning!
Our day off, wasn't really a day off. The definition of day off means we don't have to dance today. They still had an itinerary for us!
Bus call was at 10 this time, late by their standards. We ended up going to a Thermal Water Park. It had a beautiful waterfall,
a scary wood bridge,

and indoor hotspring pools. We hung out for a few hours, just swimming and relaxing.
When we got back, I took advantage of our real free time and tried to sleep away some of the sickness.
But bus call was at 7 to go to Solidarity Night. This time we were in the audience.

All of the local Brazilian groups performed.

It's similar to the show we used to do with all the Bay Area Pilipino Folk Dance companies. I forgot what it was called.
The highlight of the show was when the Capoeira group called a representative from each of the Int'l dance companies to come up and join them. Christian went up and did us proud!

When we got back, we met in the girls' room to discuss our Nation's night on Friday. Oh....rest is such a fleeting thing. There is always something to do!
The highlight of the night, though, was calling up Rich for the first time. All misery and illness inside of me, dissipated with the sound of his voice. I was definitely on cloud 9 after that!
